Welcome to the online home of the Greenville CA High School Alumni. You might ask, where is Greenville? Greenville sits in the very picturesque Indian Valley. Where the Sierra Nevada range stops and the Cascade range begins. There are three small towns in the valley; Greenville, Crescent Mills and Taylorsville.

There has been a change made to the forums. They have been changed over to a better, more secure setup. They have not been customized yet but that will get done when I get a bit of spare time. So, wander over to the forums and post some messages. Let us know what you've been up to and how you're doing.

Greenville High School is the only high school in Indian Valley. It is under the wing of the Plumas Unified School District. There are currently two elementary schools in Indian Valley, one in Greenville and the other in Taylorsville.

Some are going to ask, why is this website here? The reason for this website is so that the alumni of GHS can find information about old classmates & friends, communicate with those folks through the use of the forums and see pictures that the alumni of GHS have uploaded for your viewing pleasure. Please be sure and go to the forums, register and let folks know that you have arrived and what you have been up to.

One thing that we would like to make sure you know is that this website is for YOU, the alumni of GHS. We can't offer what you would like to have here unless you let us know. Please send email to the GHS Alumni Admins or post a message on the forums and let us know what we can do to make this a better place for our alumni.

Another big reason for this website is so the alumni of GHS can help support the current students of GHS via the GHS Boosters Club area. Here you will find information on how you can join and donate to the Boosters Club. Remember what it was like to participate in sports, band, drama club and the other extra curricular activities? In this day and age, with the serious cuts being done to school budgets everywhere, the first things to suffer are the "extras" that exist at the schools. We need to rally up for our alma mater and give what we can to help them enjoy the same activities we did at GHS. Give back to the community that gave to you.

As a registered member of GHS Alumni you'll be able to have your own email address, like testdummy@greenvillehighschool.org, or your own slice of cyberspace like mickhousel.greenvillehighschool.org. The details of this program are still being worked out but the cost to you as a GHS Alumni will be reasonable and all of the funds received will be donated to the GHS Boosters Club.

For those of you whose spouse is a GHS alumni but you graduated from another Plumas County High School, please take a look at Plumas County Online. Jim McClain, GHS class of '67, has started this online presence for Plumas County. It has forums for each of the four high schools in Plumas County. I'd also encourage the GHS Alumni to participate in the PCO forums as well as our own forums here.

Webmaster's Site Notes

There has been a few changes made. When you register now, you are given the option to use the same username and password for the GHS Alumni Forums as you register for the GHS Alumni Website. Please note that the extra forum registration is a manual process. You'll then be sent a seperate confirmation email for the GHS Alumni Forums. If you've already registered for the website but have yet to for the forums, please register there or contact me and I'll setup your account there with the same username and password for you.

I've also updated the GHS Alumni Information page. Currently, it lists GHS Alumni that we KNOW of. I'm sure there are MANY more out there that could be added to the list. We're working on obtaining lists of GHS graduates. Oh, you will need to be logged in to see this list. If you are a GHS Alumni/ex-student, please register to gain access to the GHS Alumni Information page and other areas.

I hope to be able to get the needed database/PHP coding done in the near future so that registered members can update their GHS Alumni website information as needed and so that administering the GHS Alumni website becomes a bit less work.

We are also working on getting the GHS Boosters Club section up and working soon. Stay tuned for more information.

One last thing, at the bottom of each page, is the number of Alumni registered here on the GHS Alumni Website. Ok, that's all the news that fits for this Sunday night. Feel free to contact me with any questions or suggestions you might have.
